The London Borough of Croydon is working with Keep Britain Tidy to deliver a low participation area engagement campaign between August and November 2017. The purpose of the campaign is to drive up recycling levels in ten of the lowest performing collection rounds in the borough. Activities will include doorstepping (a form of direct marketing that involves a face-to-face conversation with householders on their doorstep), participation monitoring (recording household participation in recycling services), and delivering ‘thank you for recycling cards’ to households.

We are looking for four Recycling Advisors, including one Team Leader, who will work Tuesday to Saturday for the doorstepping work, and Monday to Friday for the participation monitoring and postcard delivery work, with exact hours depending on the activity.

The project will start with training on Thursday 3 August 2017 and is planned to run for 16 weeks.

These positions will provide excellent experience for those looking for a career in the environmental sector, especially the waste and recycling industry, and are paid at or above the London Living Wage.

Full training will be provided at the start of the project.
