Course: How to Run a bat Walk

This 2-part online training course will enable you to to share your passion for bats to inspire others to get involved in bat conservation. Bat walks are an accessible and popular way to introduce complete beginners to bats for the first time.

With this course we will help you develop all the skills you need to run an engaging bat walk by yourself. We will walk you through the entire process, from planning and preparing your event to running the bat walk itself. You will be given the key information on bat biology, ecology and identification needed to become a confident wildlife guide and feel prepared to answer basic questions from the public.
This course is open to all. It will be useful if you're a volunteer or you work in the environmental sector and wanting to raise awareness of bats, or if you want to make a difference for bats in your local community!
