The Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project will be facilitating a plant identification training event for National Plant Monitoring Scheme (NPMS) volunteers at Ecos Nature Park, Ballymena, Co Antrim. This training will also be very helpful for people interested in monitoring a local community NPMS square.

The morning will be spent identifying plants in the Ecos Park and also identifying NPMS habitats. In the afternoon training will be provided on how to survey an NPMS square just outside Broughshane.

This event will be entirely outdoors.

About Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI)

The BSBI is for everyone who cares about the wild plants of Britain and Ireland. Since 1836, we've been promoting the study, understanding and enjoyment of British and Irish botany. We support all botanists - beginner or expert, amateur or professional - as they identify, record and map what grows where: our data and knowledge underpin evidence-based conservation of the British and Irish flora.
