This webinar aims to help designers, builders and homeowners avoid common problems, introducing the key considerations affecting the design and construction of external timber cladding, and focusing on the main questions and challenges that can occur.
The topics to be covered include design principles, timber selection, construction detailing, fasteners, specification, key safety considerations, and maintenance. Sources of further information will be identified.

About the Speaker:
Dr Ivor Davies is a senior lecturer on our MSc in Green Building and he is a technical consultant to the UK Timber Decking and Cladding Association. Ivor was the lead author of BS 8605-1 giving guidance on timber cladding specification.
