Conference theme

The 2026 CAT Conference will bring together our passionate network of members to explore what it truly means to build a shared future. This year’s theme “Connection, Courage and Practical Hope” will explore how hands-on action, honest dialogue, and courageous systems thinking can come together to shape the sustainable world we all want to see.

At the conference we’ll be showcasing inspiring examples from across the wider CAT community, reminding us that our movement is comprised of so many passionate projects. From community Zero Carbon Britain initiatives to individual practical building or energy projects, we’ll celebrate how we’re building a future together.

Expect practical sessions designed for the summer months, alongside constructive conversations that connect generations, disciplines, and perspectives.

We’re also pleased to announce that Mike Berners-Lee, professor, acclaimed writer and researcher on carbon footprinting, will be giving the keynote talk during our Annual CAT Conference.

Mike will be talking about ‘Pathways through the Polycrisis’ and will draw on principles from his seminal book ‘A Climate of Truth: Why We Need It and How To Get It’ as he reflects on hopeful and emergent avenues for change.

Thema'r Gynhadledd

Bydd Cynhadledd CyDA 2026 yn dod â’n rhwydwaith angerddol o aelodau ynghyd i archwilio beth mae’n wirioneddol olygu i adeiladu dyfodol ar y cyd. Bydd thema eleni “Cysylltiad, Dewrder a Gobaith Ymarferol” yn archwilio sut y gall gweithrediad ymarferol, deialog onest, a meddwl drwy systemau yn ddewr uno i lunio’r byd cynaliadwy yr ydym i gyd am ei weld.

Yn y gynhadledd byddwn yn arddangos enghreifftiau ysbrydoledig o bob cwr o gymuned ehangach CyDA, gan ein hatgoffa bod ein mudiad wedi’i lunio o luoswerth o brosiectau angerddol. O fentrau cymunedol Prydain Di-garbon i brosiectau adeiladu neu ynni ymarferol unigol, byddwn yn dathlu sut rydym yn cyd-adeiladu dyfodol gyda’n gilydd.

Disgwyliwch sesiynau ymarferol wedi’u cynllunio ar gyfer misoedd yr haf, ochr yn ochr â sgyrsiau adeiladol sy’n cysylltu cenedlaethau, disgyblaethau, a safbwyntiau.

Rydym hefyd wrth ein bodd i gyhoeddi fod Mike Berners-Lee, yr athro, ysgrifennwr clodfawr ac ymchwilydd ôl troed carbon, yn rhoi’r brif araith yn ystod ein Cynhadledd Flynyddol CyDA.

Bydd Mike yn siarad am ‘Llwybrau trwy’r Polygreisis’ a bydd yn tynnu ar brif egwyddorion ei lyfr arloesol ‘A Climate of Truth: Why We Need It and How To Get It’ wrth iddo adlewyrchu ar lwybrau gobeithiol a newydd tuag at newid.
