We are now looking for a Bat Groups Officer to join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 30 hours per week.

The Role
As a Bat Groups Officer, you will support and strengthen relationships between BCT and volunteer bat groups across the UK.
Specifically, you will manage key partnerships, facilitate group activities and maintain strong communication channels to ensure groups are well supported and aligned with our strategic goals.
Working closely with internal teams, you’ll organise meetings and events, lead on communications and publications for bat groups, and manage training and funding support.
Additionally, you will:
- Renew annual memorandums of understanding and insurance statements with bat groups
- Produce monthly bat group bulletins and edit Bat News
- Maintain relevant website content for bat groups and events
- Oversee departmental budgets and reporting
About You
To be considered as a Bat Groups Officer, you will need:
- Experience in project development
- Experience in developing and/or delivering training courses
- Experience in management or supervision
- Experience in organising events
- Experience of influencing stakeholders across teams or organisations
- A good understanding of bat ecology and conservation
- Knowledge of quality service provision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including digital communication)
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- A willingness and ability to travel across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends
