Labour’s Environment Campaign – SERA, is the environmental affiliate of the Labour Party, working from within the party to put climate and nature at the heart of Labour politics. For over 50 years, we’ve shaped policy, supported emerging green leaders, and helped Labour win with a bold, fair and deliverable vision for climate action and environmental justice.

Through our national network, expert membership and deep grassroots connections, we champion ambitious ideas and hold power to account—ensuring Labour leads with credibility and ambition on the biggest challenges facing people and planet.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Research and Politics Officer (RPO) to lead on SERA’s research projects, policy development, and parliamentary engagement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong political instincts, sharp research skills, and a passion for environmental justice—someone who wants to influence the Labour movement and help shape the future of environmental policy in Britain.

About You

You’ll have strong Labour values, excellent political instincts, and proven experience in research or political strategy. You know how to influence policy, communicate with impact, and thrive in a fast-moving political environment.

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Contract: 12 months with options to extend
