About the role:
The Land Trust is seeking an Estates and Community Assistant to assist the Estates and Community Officer, with the day-to-day management of the Warrington Portfolio and to take the lead in the delivery of activities to maximise our charitable objectives on Land Trust sites. This will involve working with the community who live and work around Land Trust sites, Land Trust staff, the landscape contractor and external organisations. The role will cover three main categories – Estates, Community Engagement and working with the Communications and Marketing Team.
The post holder will be line managed by the Estates and Community Officer but will also work with the Estate Manager North West.
Do you have:
- Experience of delivering community engagement, volunteer and/or training activities.
- Confidence working with a range of people and groups and ability to build and manage working relationships across all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate with proven skills in using MS Office packages.
- Knowledge of and interest in the environment and/or open spaces for public benefit.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.

Other relevant information:
- Based at the Land Trust office, Birchwood, with regular site attendance.
- The post holder is required to act flexibly and undertake other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post as discussed with the Estate and Community Officer.
- Working outside.
- Some evenings, weekend and bank holiday working.
- Visits to other Land Trust sites and offices.
- The post holder will be required to travel by car and public transport as necessary to fulfil their role effectively. Note some sites are remote and not accessible by public transport.
- The post holder will have a current valid driving licence.
- The role will require a DBS check.
