Conservation & WildlifeEnvironmental Management

About Enviroculture

Enviroculture delivers practical environmental solutions that restore landscapes, support biodiversity, and enhance access to nature. From peatland and wetland restoration to sensitive vegetation management, conservation fencing, and habitat creation, we work across Wales to deliver high-quality, sustainable results for clients who care about the land as much as we do.

The Role

We are looking for skilled Countryside Operatives to join our team delivering conservation, habitat management, and landscaping projects. You’ll be hands-on, working outdoors in all weathers on varied projects including habitat restoration, footpath installation, invasive species control, and minor civils work such as drainage and boardwalks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate plant and equipment including diggers, dumpers, chainsaws, and strimmer's.
  • Carry out habitat management tasks such as scrub clearance, tree planting, and vegetation control.
  • Assist with installation of footpaths, fencing, and other countryside infrastructure.
  • Undertake landscaping works including planting schemes, ground preparation, and turfing.
  • Work to high environmental and safety standards, protecting sensitive habitats and wildlife.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and environmentally conscious team culture.

About You

We’re looking for people who care about the environment and take pride in doing the job right. You might currently work as a ranger, estates worker, landscaper, or with a conservation charity — or have transferable skills from another land-based role.

Essential skills & experience

  • Competent operator of plant and machinery (diggers, dumpers, etc.)
  • Experience with chainsaws and strimmers (tickets preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in remote locations in all weather.

Desirable

  • CSCS card
  • LANTRA/NPTC qualifications for machinery and tools
  • Experience in habitat restoration, landscaping, fencing, or drainage works
  • Knowledge of environmental best practice and wildlife legislation.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven company where conservation and quality go hand in hand.
  • Work on varied, meaningful projects that make a visible difference.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Supportive, values-led team environment.

If you want to use your skills to help restore habitats, enhance landscapes, and create better places for wildlife and people, we’d love to hear from you.
