Are you looking for new role working with an organisation that really makes a difference? Changeworks is a leading organisation dedicated to decarbonising Scotland’s homes and a just transition to net zero.
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised and professional individual, with good IT skills and a customer focused approach. The Central Support Administrator is part of the Facilities team; this team deal with a broad range of internal and external requests and enquiries, and our role is to provide a timely, friendly and helpful service to enable Changeworks’ operations to run smoothly.
This is an interesting and varied role where every day is different, and you will be working within a busy and dynamic team. The Central Support Administrator is an important role. You will be responsible for reception, and the general helplines (phone and online) and often the first point of contact that someone has with organisation – so you will need great communications skills and a customer-focused approach.
You will be using a variety of systems and processes e.g. to monitor and update Facilities helpdesk enquiries, monitor stock levels and update records – so excellent IT skills (Microsoft 365 / Office) will be required.
Full training will be provided, including operational (facilities) specific training e.g. fire warden.
In addition to candidates with some experience, we would welcome applicants interested in pursuing a Modern Apprenticeship (Business Administration or Facilities), working with a learning provider to support in achieving an SVQ Qualification.
About us
Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation (something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would recommend us as an employer too.
The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.
We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full training plus coaching and mentoring.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.
At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
Closing date for applications: 11am, Monday 25 August 2025
Interviews: Week commencing Monday 1 September 2025
