Senior Coastal Change Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to be at the forefront of climate change resilience within East Riding of Yorkshire. Working as part of a dedicated team, duties include supporting the delivery of the innovative Changing Coasts East Riding of Yorkshire project to help communities plan for, and respond to, the impacts of coastal change.
Acting as a coastal champion, you will work with communities and partner organisations to
develop a new, long-term approach to coastal transition within East Riding of Yorkshire, whilst
actively supporting communities to deliver on-the-ground adaptation.
We seek an individual who can think innovatively, forge excellent relationships with a range of people and organisations and deliver an ambitious programme of work on time.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject and have experience of project management, policy/strategy development and partnership working.
Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Based at County Hall, Beverley for 37 hours per week as part of a fixed term contact until 1 October 2027 due to temporary funding.
