Join Flete Field Lab as our next CEO

Flete Field Lab is a land-based experimental programme of soil and water regeneration trials. We are looking for a visionary, practical and networked freelancer or organisation to support Flete Field Lab to become more sustainable, evidence and community based, and to scale up.

With huge thanks to our funders The AIM Foundation and The Dixon Foundation, we have been able to grow the team and are now looking for someone to join as a CEO.

You’ll work closely with our passionate founders and partners from the University of Plymouth, local landowners and commercial businesses to grow our organisation, bring rigour to our evidence in order to scale our impact, and ensure our governance is fit for purpose.

If you share our guiding principles, are based in the South West, are deeply collaborative, adventurous and kind, and care for people and planet, then this could be your opportunity to have a real impact on a pioneering organisation with great potential.

This is a contract for services, the fee is £300 – £350 per day, depending on experience.

Deadline for applications : Monday 29 September 2025 at 10am.

About Flete Field Lab

Flete Field Lab is an experimental and collaborative Community Interest Company, researching and developing nature-based remedies for soil and water issues. We use biochar made from locally sourced waste materials for soil enhancement, and mycelium (the main underground body of fungi) to improve water quality. We hope to uncover ways to revive ecological health and support adaptation to the multiple impacts of climate change that are increasingly having negative impacts on our environment.
