Are you passionate about driving environmental change and sustainability? The EDQM is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Senior Environmental Sustainability Officer to lead impactful initiatives that reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainable practices across our operations.

You will be working in the Co-ordination & Support team within the EDQM’s Supply Chain Department (SCD), which is responsible for supply and operation planning, scientific procurement of raw materials, logistics operations (warehousing and dispatch) and production, as well as processing orders and related requests.

As part of your mission to drive environmental sustainability at EDQM, you will:

  • Lead Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs): Evaluate the environmental impact of products from the Supply Chain Department and other EDQM units, helping shape more sustainable practices.
  • Champion Low-Carbon Innovation: Propose and support the adoption of eco-friendly products, equipment, and processes—such as sustainable packaging, greener transportation methods, and energy-efficient production tools—to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Drive Resource Efficiency: Identify and implement initiatives to minimize waste and reduce energy and fluid consumption throughout production and distribution activities.
  • Monitor and Improve Performance: Take ownership of environmental key performance indicators (KPIs), working collaboratively with relevant teams to ensure continuous improvement and impactful results.
