We are seeking a qualified ecologist, with experience of providing advice on planning applications, developing environmental policy, and supporting other services to deliver their projects with nature in mind.

You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work closely with other teams in the Council and achieve the best for biodiversity. In terms of field skills, FISC 3 or above is desirable, with working knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and experience using Defra's statutory metric. Ideally you will hold Bat and/or GCN licenses to help supervise surveys and Council works affecting protected species.
