With a growing client base across the UK, we’re expanding our talented team and looking for a Non-Native Invasive Plant Surveyor / Project Manager to join us. The Role
As part of our Survey Department, you’ll play a vital role in surveying, planning, and managing projects to control and remove invasive species such as Japanese knotweed. You’ll work across a wide range of sites—from national parks and major development sites to private homes and heritage locations (we’ve even worked on celebrity homes!).
You’ll be trained by experienced professionals to ensure you're fully equipped to manage your own portfolio of projects by 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys across the UK, primarily solo or sometimes pairs on large surveys. (company vehicle provided).
- Prepare detailed survey reports and Japanese Knotweed Management Plans.
- Create AutoCAD drawings.
- Price projects and contribute to tender submissions.
- Attend pre-start meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Follow up leads, secure sales, and meet realistic targets (with a performance-based bonus scheme).
- Manage projects from start to finish, working closely with our Operations Dept. and Site Teams
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Work from our Head Office (Bury) when not on-site – balance of travel vs. office work can vary seasonally.
- Occasional overnight stays nationwide (accommodation and meal allowances provided).
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Self-motivated, reliable and punctual.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in Microsoft Office and some experience in AutoCAD.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A professional attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good plant identification and general botanical knowledge.
Desirable (but not essential – full training will be provided):
- Relevant degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, geography, or related field.
- Property Care Association CSJK qualification.
- BASIS qualification.
- PA1, PA6, PA6AW (or other spraying licenses).
- CSCS Card.
- IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety certification.
