How about working at the iconic Leighton Moss Nature Reserve? We’re looking for a Seasonal Fundraiser to join the team at the breathtaking RSPB Leighton Moss.
This role is ideal for someone who loves connecting with people and sharing their passion for nature.
You may have worked in roles that involved building face-to-face relationships, such as hospitality, customer service, sales, sustainability, conservation, campaigning, fundraising, business development, retail, or volunteering. However, it’s your transferable skills that matter most, as we’ll provide you with fantastic training and ongoing support to help you succeed. You do not need previous fundraising experience!
The ideal candidate will be close enough to Leighton Moss to commute daily.
What’s the role about?
Leighton Moss is home to the largest reed bed in north-west England. This sweeping expanse provides shelter to a spectacular range of wildlife including Otters, Bearded Tits, Bitterns, Marsh Harriers, egrets and Red Deer.
Set against the shores of the nearby Morecambe Bay, this Lancashire nature reserve is a thriving visitor haven attracting people of all walks of like to explore its reedbeds, mudflats, coastal marsh and saltwater lagoons. Explore a bit further and you will also find pockets of woodland and limestone grasslands.
As part of the Leighton Moss team, you’ll work alongside dedicated staff and volunteers to welcome visitors, share the conservation importance of this iconic site, and inspire support for the RSPB through fundraising and membership recruitment.
What we’re looking for:
- A passion for conservation and protecting nature.
- Strong communication skills and an engaging personality.
- The ability to tell compelling stories and inspire others.
- Resilience and a results-driven mindset and willingness to work toward targets.
- Happy to work 3 out of 4 weekends.
You don’t need prior fundraising experience-we’ll provide full training!
What’s in it for you?
Join a team that’s making a real difference and inspiring others to protect nature! This is a rewarding role where you can channel your passion and make a meaningful impact.
Here’s what we offer:
- Flexible contracts: choose between 3, 4, or 5 days per week (7.5 hours per day on-site).
- A set salary-no commission-based work.
- 34 days’ annual leave (including eight bank holidays, pro-rata).
- Full training and a comprehensive induction
