We are looking for someone with an interest in renewable energy and the transition to a low carbon economy. The role will initially involve the management of our commercial O&M contracts and reactive maintenance works for solar and battery installations. We are looking for someone who can provide a high level of customer service, organisation and time management. Ideally, we are looking for a graduate in engineering, a scientific, or another numerate discipline, or someone with equivalent work experience in a customer-facing, ideally technically oriented, role. The starting salary ranges between £26,000 and £32,000, depending on experience.

The role is home-based, with any location in the UK (excluding Scotland) considered.

Role responsibilities & Scope:

  • Monitor and manage O&M contracts, warranties, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Act as the key customer contact throughout reactive maintenance works and for O&M contracts.
  • Act as the primary installer contact during works.
  • Manage documentation and perform ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Assist with budget management and analysis of project costs.
  • Complete and maintain maintenance folders and records.
  • Ensure installation standards and documentation comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Skills and qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Educated to degree level in a scientific/engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Highly organised with the ability to cope with multiple projects running at the same time while maintaining high level of customer service
  • Friendly and advisory approach
  • Interest in renewable energy and sustainability
  • Proficient in Excel and Word

Desirable:

  • Experience in PV or other renewable energy sectors, either through industry or education.
  • Experience in O&M of PV and/or battery systems.
  • Experience managing works within the construction or renewables industry.
  • Experience in accounting and/or budget management.
