Citizens Advice 1066 is recruiting a reliable Home Visit Energy Adviser to join our team. This is a permanent role focused on delivering practical energy advice to residents in Hastings, Rother, and the surrounding areas. Your work will directly help people out of poverty and improve community welfare.

What You'll Be Doing: A Practical Role

The core of this job involves working directly with clients, mainly in their homes, to offer tailored advice on energy use. We are looking for someone who is calm, organized, and focused on client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting client homes to set up and manage smart meters and dataloggers for collecting energy, temperature, and humidity data.
  • Giving practical energy advice to clients, both in person and over the phone, using the collected data to inform your recommendations.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate case records for all clients you work with.
  • Always prioritizing the client's overall wellbeing, including signposting or making referrals to other relevant support services when needed.
  • Providing or installing small measures (energy saving items) that can help improve efficiency or change energy habits.

Position Details

Role: Home Visit Energy Adviser
Salary£27,189 - £28,728 (pro-rata if part-time). Pay increases to the top band after successful completion of training.
Hours30 to 37 hours per week. This is a Permanent contract. We can discuss flexible working arrangements.
Location: CA1066 office in St Leonards-on-Sea when not out on client visits.
Reports to: Project Manager and Energy Service Supervisor
