The role
The Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership delivers countryside and urban green space projects as well as wider land management services for local authority and parish partners and contractually for several other organisations.
We are looking for someone to lead this award winning team in the development and implementation of projects that will enhance and improve the local environment centred on the River Blackwater, on the Hampshire / Surrey border.
What you’ll do
The role involves working with local authority partners, other organisations and site-based groups to identify and prioritise potential projects; ensuring these are delivered by securing resources and overseeing the selection of contractors or staff and volunteers to do so.
A key element of the role will be to coordinate projects programme and report to partner organisations, together with overseeing the financial management of the Partnership.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking candidates with significant experience in managing land-based projects, partnership working and budget management.
You will need excellent communication, team management and organisational skills, you will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority, and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis to meet the travel requirements of the role.
