This is a two year fixed term opportunity.

Are you passionate about the natural world and ready to make a real impact in an urban environment?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic nature conservation manager to lead the way in preserving and enhancing Islington’s biodiversity and nature reserves.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the ecology centre, a hub for environmental education, community events, and volunteering opportunities.
  • Lead the nature conservation team and oversee three local nature reserves ensuring Islington’s biodiversity thrives.
  • Drive forward Islington’s biodiversity agenda by overseeing the biodiversity action plan, a network of sites of importance for nature conservation (SINCs) and develop our local nature recovery strategy (LNRS)
  • Provide expert ecological advice to support the planning department in shaping the future of the borough’s green spaces.
