Conservation & Wildlife

Do you have a demonstrable commitment to volunteering and community engagement, and a passion for mammal conservation?

Vincent Wildlife Trust, a specialist mammal research and conservation charity working on threatened mammals, is offering an opportunity for someone experienced in working both with volunteers and with local community groups and stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a combination of these talents who, during this period of maternity cover, can maintain the momentum created by our present Volunteering and Community Engagement Officer.

Your primary purpose will be to develop and coordinate our volunteer programme, building on existing success and undertake effective communication activities to recruit, train and support VWT’s volunteers. In return, the Trust offers a quality employment package, the chance for training and professional development and the learning of new skills and experiences.

This post is part time (30 hours per week) maternity cover, ideally starting the week commencing 2 February 2026 for up to 13 months. To meet the needs of the post, the role will be split between VWT’s Bronsil Office in Ledbury, Herefordshire, and a Home Office.

Closing date for applications: 17:00 on Friday 12 December 2025

Interviews will be held on Thursday 18 December 2025, either in person or online.
