We’re looking for an Urban Parks & Open Spaces Manager who is motivated, hands-on, and committed to creating safe, sustainable, and accessible spaces for everyone to enjoy. This is more than a management role – it’s about driving transformation and helping to build a new Green Spaces team that enhances and protects our parks for generations to come.
What you’ll do
- Lead the operational management of Rotherham’s urban parks and open spaces.
- Drive improvements in quality, safety, and sustainability across all sites and facilities.
- Work closely with communities, partners, and stakeholders to ensure our green spaces meet local needs.
- Shape and develop a forward-thinking team focused on innovation and excellence.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
