Lead a Greener Future for Blackpool.

Are you driven by the power of people and passionate about transforming communities through nature? Join the Blackpool GreenWave Partnership and play a pivotal role in shaping a healthier, greener and more resilient town. As our Senior Community Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of a 10-year vision to reconnect Blackpool’s parks, coast, streets and green spaces—building a thriving natural network that benefits both wildlife and local residents.

In this exciting leadership role, you’ll design and launch a strategic volunteering programme that brings together residents, businesses, schools, charities and partner organisations. You’ll inspire action, forge meaningful partnerships, and empower people from all backgrounds to take ownership of their green spaces. With the support of a skilled conservation and ecology team—and working closely with Blackpool Council—you’ll be instrumental in driving community-led change that tackles health inequalities, restores biodiversity and strengthens climate resilience.

If you’re a dynamic, creative and collaborative leader who thrives on bringing people together and making a lasting impact, this is your opportunity to help shape the future of Blackpool’s natural environment—and the lives of the communities who depend on it.

This role requires a clear DBS check.
