Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Urban Ecology Project Manager (full-time 3-year fixed term) to lead the delivery of Cody Dock’s Urban Ecology programme. The role is ideal for an ecologist with strong project management experience, able to apply ecological expertise in urban regeneration and planning contexts.
You will manage multiple ecology-led projects, oversee budgets and reporting, and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, and developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver urban ecology projects to time, scope, and budget.
- Develop project plans, budgets, risk registers, and monitoring frameworks.
- Lead strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure ecological monitoring and data inform project delivery and reporting.
- Line-manage the Biodiversity Officer and Urban Ecology Activity Leader.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent in ecology or environmental science.
- Experience managing ecological or environmental projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and project delivery skills.
Desirable:
- Project management qualification (e.g., PMWC, PRINCE2, APM).
- Knowledge of urban ecology, planning frameworks, or Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
