About Climate Hub

Climate Hub is entering an exciting new phase as we prepare to launch our 2026 strategy, building on a successful first year of operating a physical community Hub in Bath. We are strengthening the operational foundations of the organisation to support long-term impact, accountability and growth.

Our Hub has become a welcoming space for conversation, learning and action on climate and nature, powered by volunteers, partnerships and a rich programme of events. Climate Hub is a collaborative project, the postholders work with the Trustees and partners to deliver the aims and objectives of the charity.

We are seeking an experienced Operations, Communications and Partnerships Manager to provide the strategic backbone of the organisation, ensuring systems work, communications are clear and consistent, and partnerships are nurtured and purposeful.

The role

This role brings together organisational operations, external communications and partnership development. You will work collaboratively with Trustees and the wider team to ensure Climate Hub runs smoothly behind the scenes, while telling a compelling story about our work and impact.

This role provides the organisational backbone of Climate Hub. It ensures that systems, processes and communications are clear, consistent and fit for purpose as the organisation matures.

On a practical level, the role supports Trustee meetings and governance, maintains policies and procedures, and ensures smooth operational functioning. Alongside this, it leads on communications, telling the story of Climate Hub’s work through newsletters, social media, campaigns and the website.

Partnership development is a key strand of the role. This involves nurturing relationships with local organisations, statutory bodies, and networks, identifying collaboration opportunities, and representing Climate Hub externally. The role plays a crucial part in positioning Climate Hub as a trusted, strategic partner within the local climate and community landscape.

What this Role Involves in Practice

This role underpins the organisation’s ability to function smoothly and credibly. On a routine basis, it involves maintaining operational systems, supporting Trustee meetings, managing freelancers, drafting board papers, tracking actions, and ensuring policies and procedures are current and followed.

Communication is an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-off task. The role involves designing, writing, creating, scheduling and planning content, responding to enquiries, updating platforms including the website, and ensuring Climate Hub’s voice remains consistent, accurate and aligned with its values.

Partnership work includes regular relationship maintenance: meetings, emails, follow-ups and coordination. The postholder often acts as a first point of contact for external organisations and represents Climate Hub in networks and discussions.
