Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? 100,000 visitors come to our stunning Bempton Cliffs nature reserve in East Yorkshire every year to enjoy nearly half a million seabirds. Our visitor centre acts as the hub for an exciting programme of education, events, and interpretation.
As part of a dedicated team, you will need bags of enthusiasm and initiative to deliver a friendly and professional welcome to all of our visitors. You will help ensure that visitors from young to old, have a memorable and inspiring visit to the reserve. This role will make a huge difference for the visitor experience.
We are looking for individuals (2 posts) with customer care experience who are passionate, organised, and motivated. The role will entail helping control traffic, directing new arrivals to available spaces in the car parks and managing visitor’s expectations.
RSPB Bempton Cliffs is around 20-minutes by car from Bridlington and a 35-minute drive from Scarborough. The nearest train station is a one-mile walk from the local village.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Good customer care knowledge
- Enthusiastic, organised and motivated
- Good verbal communication
- Ability to problem-solve
- Be able to work on your own initiative but also as part of a team
- Experience of traffic control (not essential)
These roles are Seasonal, fixed-term contract positions with a baseline of 12 hours per week between March and September.
All positions will include weekend and bank holiday working, additional hours may be available to meet the business need and cover annual leave.
The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make these roles permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
