Contract: Fixed term until March 2027, 4 days per week, then fixed term until March 2028 3 days per week.

Are you passionate about nature, the outdoors, and the benefits they bring to health and wellbeing?

Are you looking for a creative, people-focused, hands-on role at the forefront of social prescribing in Wales? We are seeking an Outdoor Health Volunteer Officer to mentor and support people to access the outdoors through volunteering, enabling them care for both themselves and their environment.

The role is part of Awyr Iach, a three-year outdoor health service serving the Bro Ddyfi Community Hospital catchment and the wider UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere Reserve. The project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and The National Forest for Wales and is managed by Coed Lleol – Smallwoods in partnership with Biosffer Dyfi and a wide range of local community stakeholders.

About Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales)

Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales) is the name for the Small Woods Association in Wales. We help to improve the health and wellbeing of people across Wales though woodland and nature based activities. We work to provide healthy sustainable woodlands that benefit their owners, the environment and wider society, decrease social isolation, improve the mental health of our project participants, encourage our participants to get active outdoors, help our participants discover new skills and interests and provide supportive and fun environments for our project participants.
