Seasonal Survey Assistant, Peterborough Area
BSG Ecology
We are looking for a Seasonal Survey Assistant to join our friendly Oxford (Didcot) team. The post is available until the end of October 2026. The number of hours will vary per week and will involve assisting with daytime reptile and amphibian translocation and early morning and evening survey for bats and GCN. The work will take place in the Peterborough area so you will need to live within an hour of Peterborough.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is pro-actively seeking significant survey experience for their CV. You will work alongside experienced in-house ecologists and training will be provided to enable you to develop your ecology skills.
What We Are Looking For
You will have:
- Enthusiasm for ecology and the natural environment in the UK
- Some relevant ecological experience
- An organised approach to work, flexibility and a high level of motivation
- A good BSc in a relevant subject
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport
