Consultancy Ecologist
Worcestershire Wildlife Consultancy
Are you an enthusiastic ecologist who’s motivated by making a real difference for wildlife and the people connected to it? We’re looking for someone who brings professional ecological experience alongside a positive, organised and collaborative approach. If you’re confident in your ecological knowledge, keen to develop your protected species skills and enjoy producing clear, well‑structured reports, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be someone who understands UK wildlife legislation and best practice, is comfortable working with a range of partners and clients and is committed to growing your expertise. Membership of CIEEM (or working towards it) is welcomed and a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
About the role
As an ecologist, you’ll play a key part in delivering high‑quality ecological work across a diverse range of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to nature’s recovery by providing expert ecological advice, undertaking field surveys and assessments, and helping clients make informed decisions that support wildlife and habitats.
You’ll be involved in a variety of ecological surveys and site assessments, working across different habitats and species groups. Your work will include collecting and analysing ecological data, preparing clear and accurate reports, and supporting senior colleagues in delivering projects to agreed timescales and standards. You’ll also liaise with clients, colleagues and stakeholders, helping to ensure that each project runs smoothly and achieves the best possible outcomes for nature.
This role offers the chance to develop your consultancy experience within a supportive team, contributing to meaningful conservation outcomes while building strong professional relationships. Some evening and weekend work may be required and a full driving licence is essential.
