An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecological Compliance and Support Officer to join the highly regarded Denbighshire Countryside Service team. The post holder will provide consultation responses to planning applications, and ensure compliance with planning conditions relating to ecology. The post holder will support officers within the Planning and Planning Policy teams, and will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing ecological mitigation schemes resulting from development. This will include some protected species monitoring, organising and undertaking practical site maintenance, and reporting on NRW species licences.

This specialist position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to make a real and positive impact on the conservation of important species and habitats within Denbighshire. Working within the Biodiversity Team, you will be able to influence projects and policies to ensure the wildlife of Denbighshire is always valued and protected.

Bydd hefyd yn cefnogi swyddogion yn y timau Cynllunio a Pholisi Cynllunio a bydd yn gyfrifol am ddatblygu, monitro a rheoli cynlluniau lliniaru ecolegol sy’n deillio o ddatblygiadau. Bydd hyn yn cynnwys rhywfaint o waith monitro rhywogaethau a warchodir, trefnu a chynnal gwaith cynnal a chadw ymarferol ac adrodd ar drwyddedau rhywogaethau Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru.

Mae’r swydd arbenigol hon yn darparu cyfle i’r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus wneud gwahaniaeth go iawn a chadarnhaol ar gadwraeth rhywogaethau a chynefinoedd pwysig yn Sir Ddinbych.
