Devon Countryside Access Forum Officer
£30,518 - £33,699 per annum, pro rata Permanent
Part Time 11 hours per week
Location: Great Moor House, Exeter, EX2 7NL

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Public Rights of Way and Country Parks team at Devon County Council. We are recruiting for a Devon Countryside Access Forum (DCAF) Officer to join our team, playing a key part in facilitating the effective functioning of the DCAF, which provides independent advice to Devon County Council (DCC) and others on matters relating to the improvement of outdoor recreation and countryside access – more info is on our webpage.

With excellent opportunities to work flexibly, you will be part of a team of public rights of way officers based at our Exeter office, helping to support and deliver for health and wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and economic vitality.

With excellent communication, time management and administration skills, and ideally with experience in public access, countryside management and/or transferable functions, you will have a proven ability to manage and coordinate meetings, events and training, and communicate with a wide range of individuals and organisations at a local, regional and national level.

Key areas of focus include arranging, publicising, attending and minuting meetings of the DCAF, preparing agenda papers, reports and newsletters, coordinating responses to consultations and facilitating the admin required to run the Forum and support its volunteer members.
