We are looking for two experienced and knowledgeable Farming Officers to join the South Downs National Park Authority’s Farming Team, based in Sussex (Stamner Park) and Hampshire (either Singleton or Droxford) respectively. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will work with farmers, land managers and partners to deliver the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) Programme, and with Natural England to deliver Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier (CSHT) agreements.

With a strong working knowledge of farming, land management and agri-environment schemes, you must be able to plan, organise and deliver projects and activities that achieve multiple outcomes across nature, climate, people and place. A strong team working ethic and well-developed negotiation and interpersonal skills are also essential to ensure you can work effectively with colleagues, farmers/landowners and partners to deliver FiPL, CSHT and organisational outcomes.

You will need to have a degree or equivalent qualification in farming or land management. Previous experience in this area of work is also required.
