Elusen fach yng nghanolbarth Cymru yw Coetir Anian. Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys ein diwrnodau gwaith gwirfoddol rheolaidd ac ystod eang o ddigwyddiadau cymunedol, gweithgareddau ieuenctid ac ymweliadau grwpiau ysgol. Rydym hefyd yn gweithio gyda thirfeddianwyr cyfagos i wella bioamrywiaeth a chysylltedd ecolegol ar draws y dirwedd ehangach. Am fwy o wybodaeth, ewch i www.coetiranian.org.

JOB TITLE: Project Officer
OUR ORGANISATION
Coetir Anian (Cambrian Wildwood) is a small charity based in mid Wales. We manage Bwlch Corog, a 142ha upland site near Machynlleth, leased from the Woodland Trust, where we have been restoring native woodlands and upland peat habitats on site since 2017. We create opportunities for people to connect with nature and learn about nature restoration, through our inspiring education and wellbeing programmes. These include our regular volunteer workdays and a wide range of community events, youth activities and school group visits. We also work with neighbouring landowners to enhance biodiversity and ecological connectivity across the wider landscape. For more information, see www.cambrianwildwood.org.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE ROLE
The Project Officer role supports the whole Coetir Anian project. This includes supporting delivery of our education programme and community events in Welsh and English, our volunteer programme, and practical site management tasks. This post requires a dynamic individual who is happy to take on a very varied workload, from supporting delivery of education and volunteering sessions, to administrative tasks, practical conservation work such as tree planting and monitoring, bramble and bracken clearing, peatland vegetation restoration and monitoring. A particular focus over the next two years will be further development of our volunteer programme.
The candidate must be happy to regularly travel to work on site at Bwlch Corog and willing to take on practical, outdoor maintenance tasks in all weathers. A passion for nature and working with people is essential. Fluent spoken Welsh is essential as the post will support delivery of regular Welsh language sessions with school children.
We are open to applicants for either a full or part time role (at least 3 days per week).
Over the next two years the post is funded by Wales Council for Voluntary Action, the National Forest for Wales Landscape Scheme, and the Nature Networks Fund.
Note: The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check and referees will be asked to comment on the candidate's suitability to work with young people before a contract is issued.
Likely interview date week commencing 20th April.
