About Green Angel Ventures

Green Angel Ventures is the reference early stage investor for UK climate innovation. We specialise in the fight against climate change. We invest through our EIS Climate Change Fund (‘CCF’), on behalf of our co-investment partners, and through Green Angel Syndicate, one of the largest angel syndicates in the UK. Together with our skilled in-house team, our specialist angel members and our co-investment partners also provide the knowledge and experience to add substantial value to emerging climate start-ups.

Green Angel Ventures identifies, invests in, and helps the growth of companies which develop innovative technology or processes which can help reduce the world’s carbon emissions. In the 8 years we’ve been investing, more than 900 people have invested through us, into 55 companies. This role focuses on investor recruitment and engagement.

Green Angel Ventures has a paid team of 15; while others are pulling away from climate mitigation and adaptation technologies, we are doubling down. Our growing portfolio creates opportunities for investors to help scale business for financial return and impact. We generate over 1,000 investment opportunities each year, and our pipeline of new deals remains as exciting as ever. In 2025, we won the UKBAA’s Angel Group of the year award, peer-based recognition of our strong market position and impact.

The role

The purpose of this new role is to deliver our key objectives: to increase investment into our Climate Change Fund, to grow our investor base, and to increase investor engagement in deals, thereby increasing the size of our rounds and our impact.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Present the company’s offering to potential new investors - mostly High Net Worth Individuals, but also Family Offices and Foundations - in order to recruit new syndicate members and new CCF investors.
  • Meet and talk with our syndicate members and CCF investors to identify and share appropriate investment opportunities. Provide them with key investment details, and answer their questions.
  • Send effective and timely communications to our different investor audiences (syndicate members, CCF investors, and subsets of each).
  • Set overall marketing messaging for the company, for communication to investors and other audiences (portfolio companies, co-investors, industry groups, etc).
  • Manage our marketing and communications associate.
  • Work with them to direct content and marketing activities to our audience, to support our portfolio, attract investors, and fill the pipeline with new investment opportunities.
  • Represent the company with external organisations, including at events and conferences.

Additional elements of the role will be:

  • Ensuring you remain updated on all potential investment opportunities, by attending pitch events, talking with the investment team, joining due diligence calls, and undertaking site visits with investors and founders where opportunities permit.
  • Engaging with all parts of the business to improve our overall member and investor offering(s).
  • Preparing (or directing) investor-related reports, statistics and analysis for internal and investor updates. These will include identifying possible investors for upcoming opportunities, representation on portfolio Boards, etc.
  • Manage and run some investor-related compliance tasks, such as AML/onboarding checks.

For example, tasks will include:

  • Inviting calls with potential members and CCF investors to discuss the Syndicate and appeal to them to join.
    • Updating our CRM system with details on potential and new investors, and managing an ‘engagement ladder’ for appropriate communications and outreach.
    • Onboarding new investors.
  • Establishing a relationship with our syndicate members and CCF investors to understand their views on their portfolio, new investment opportunities, personal preferences for board roles, social activities, etc.
    • Answering questions on any aspect of their membership or investments.
    • Deal Marketing - With the support of the Investment Team, sharing investment opportunities with members to convey technical and investment information in the most efficient and appealing method, whilst adhering to FCA requirements.
  • Working with the Steering Group (our management team).
    • Making suggestions for improvements to our investor programmes.
    • Preparing and reporting membership and investment stats monthly.
  • Working with our team
    • Planning, attending and helping to manage in-person events such as our pitch events and members’ social events, typically in London and often in the evening.
    • Occasionally hosting events, such as our online webinars “4Thought Fridays”
  • Other tasks to support the business.

About you

  • In your application, you will be able to demonstrate your experience in and aptitude for each of the areas in which you’ll be operating, through your education, working experience, and/or voluntary activities.
  • This role requires customer relations experience - you will be able to show clear evidence of successful, sustained, and effective handling of customers of all kinds - ideally High Net Worth Individuals in an investment or finance setting
  • You will be able to show a background working within a team, and also unsupported.
  • You will be determined to use your skills and background to help GAV to fight climate change. You should have knowledge of and interest in sustainability and climate change.
  • You have excellent writing, numeric and communication skills. You have fluent written English.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail.
  • You are organised, self-motivated and self-directed. (We have always been a remote organisation, and we work hard to maintain a fun and supportive culture, despite being physically apart).
  • You may have a technology/science or commercial background, and/or entrepreneurial experience or knowledge of start-up/early stage companies.

Green Angel Ventures is dedicated to encouraging a supportive and inclusive culture amongst our own workforce, our members, and the workforces of our portfolio companies. It is within our interest to promote diversity and eliminate discrimination in the workforce, as this is good practice and is fundamental to our core values.

Our aim is to ensure that all members, employees and job applicants are given equal opportunities. All employees, members and investors will be respected and valued.

Location

All GAV team members work from home - we have no office. Some of our team who are based around London meet up for in-person working fortnightly, and we get all staff together twice a year for a couple of days. This role is mostly working from home, with occasional travel to locations in the UK. Many of our industry or member events are London-based, and it would be an advantage if you lived within an hour of London.

Benefits

  • Green Angel Ventures operates in one of the most exciting and dynamic sectors in the modern economy: the intersection of climate change, technological innovation, and fund management.
  • This is a permanent contract with a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, plus an incentive structure.
  • We operate an auto-enrolment pension scheme (3% employer contribution on base salary, 5% employee) which you may opt out of.
  • We pay a small monthly working-from home allowance, tax free.
  • You’ll get 25 days holiday per year, plus all bank holidays, and your birthday.
  • Holiday days increase with length of service, up to 29 days.
  • We offer paid ‘journey days’ for travelling on holiday by train/coach/boat instead of flying.
  • There will be many opportunities for long-term career growth as Green Angel Ventures continues to scale, and expand its operations.
  • Your voice counts. We employ smart people, and we listen to their opinions. You’ll play an active part in our organisation, and in our plans for the future.

Application deadline: 9am, Tuesday 31 March 2026. We may close applications early if the right candidate is found. Remote first-round interviews are expected to take place shortly afterwards.
