Carbon, Climate & EnergySustainability

Do you love running projects end to end, building relationships and making things happen? Are you genuinely excited about renewables and want a role where you can shape something, not just support it?

We pride ourselves on delivering excellent renewable energy projects from the first enquiry through to handover and we're looking for the right person to sit at the centre of that operation. We believe in giving people real responsibility, real autonomy, and a real voice in how the business grows.

Read on to find out more about the role and what it offers.

Who we are

Roland Hill has a growing renewables division delivering solar PV and heat pump installations to domestic and commercial customers. We work closely with a network of local referrers architects, builders, and energy consultants and we're building something we're proud of.

We're fast-moving, ambitious, and deeply committed to carbon reduction. Our team is experienced and supportive, and we give people the autonomy to drive their own projects forward. If that sounds like the kind of place you'd thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

The role

As Senior Project Coordinator, you'll own the full project lifecycle from the moment an enquiry comes in, right through to customer handover. You'll work closely with senior management and have real influence over how the renewables side of the business develops. We want someone who takes initiative, brings energy to a fast-moving team, and isn't afraid to shape what comes next. We've got great foundations for your to build on.

On a day-to-day basis, the role spans four main areas:

Business development

You'll develop and refine our lead generation processes, work with our IT providers on the company website, and collaborate on social media and content to raise our profile. You'll also build relationships with local referrers architects, builders, and industry contacts to keep a steady flow of warm introductions coming through the door.

Enquiries and site assessment

You'll be the first point of contact for inbound enquiries, carrying out desktop feasibility assessments and making a strong first impression that sets the tone for the whole customer journey. You'll coordinate site visits efficiently, keep customer records accurate, and handle applications to connect to electricity providers (DNOs) for solar and heat pump installations navigating the process confidently to keep projects moving.

Contracts and project setup

Once a customer is ready to go, you'll drive quotes through to confirmation quickly, issue clear professional contracts, and work closely with our finance team to get deposits invoiced and paid. You'll arrange deposit protection insurance, monitor DNO approvals, and issue purchase orders at the right moment to keep the supply chain aligned.

Installation coordination and closeout

You'll schedule installation dates, ensure scaffolding is confirmed ahead of time, and compile comprehensive installation packs so the team arrives fully prepared. After installation, you'll raise final invoices, complete all required scheme registrations (MCS, NAPIT, DNO, NICEIC), contribute to business KPIs, and issue a polished customer handover pack leaving every customer feeling well looked after from start to finish.

Who we're looking for

You want a career that makes a difference. Sitting in a large organisation processing the same tasks every day doesn't appeal you want to put your energy and organisational ability to work somewhere it counts. You'd like to be trusted with real responsibility, and to be part of growing something meaningful.

We'll be looking for candidates who have a genuine interest in renewables and carbon reduction. Experience in project coordination, customer-facing roles, or a construction and energy environment would be a strong advantage. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, stay on top of the detail, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues is essential. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a high standard of professionalism will go a long way.

Establishing and maintaining relationships both with customers and with referrers is central to this role. So too is attention to detail, a calm head under pressure, and a genuine desire to make every project a great experience for the customer.

What it offers

You'll be joining an enthusiastic team and taking on a role with real weight to it from day one. There's a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, and genuine scope to influence how the department grows over time.

You'll learn a huge amount on the job renewables is a fast-moving industry and there's always something new coming. We'll back you, invest in your development, and give you the autonomy to do things your way.

This is a full-time role with a competitive salary and real opportunities for progression for the right person. If you're ready to step into a role where you can make your mark, we'd love to hear from you.
