About The Role
Caerlaverock is a stunning nature reserve situated on the north Solway coast and we are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Engagement Officer to raise the media presence of this wonderful nature reserve.
Joining our small but dedicated team, you will develop the face and voice of Caerlaverock leading on the creation of content across social media and digital platforms. Working with a team of volunteers at our visitor hub you will also be managing the visitor admissions to the site and provide interesting and creative interpretation to enhance visitor experience at this wonderful nature reserve.
Accommodation may be available on site.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, working full time 37.5 hours per week, 5 days from 7 to include some weekend and bank holiday working.
About You
You will have
- skills and demonstrable experience of online marketing including social media and other digital platforms.
- a high level of creativity in delivering innovative content.
- ability to respond on digital platforms to sensitive and complex issues with support from WWT’s central media and communications team.
- ability to lead a team of volunteers to deliver an admissions facility at site.
- excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication with staff, volunteers and members of the public.
- ability to work in a professional, friendly and diplomatic manner with a wide range of people.
- experience of dealing directly with the visitors/public on a face-to-face basis.
- a driving licence is required.
