Conservation & Wildlife

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and highly organised manager with a proven track record in community organising, mobilising or volunteer coordination who can lead our Wilder Communities and Volunteering Team. You’ll demonstrate excellent management skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop a highly effective team.

These are exciting times for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Last year, we undertook a review of our ambitious Wilder Nottinghamshire 2030 strategy to give even greater focus to our work on our land, with communities and partners, and through influencing others.

Following this strategy review, the Trust has aligned structures and roles to ensure that we are equipped to maximise our impact for nature, attract increased support and remain resilient and sustainable over the long term in a rapidly changing external environment.

The new structure has created a number of opportunities to bring in new talent, ideas and energy to the organisation, to make a strategic investment in our future capability.

Time is running out to address the joint nature and climate crises and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has a hugely important role to play in our county, and as part of the wider Wildlife Trust movement, to help reverse local nature loss and mobilise action for nature recovery and we'd love you to join us.

You will be responsible for the growth, development and delivery of opportunities for involvement in nature’s recovery through overall coordination of long-term community programmes comprising the Wilder Nottinghamshire Network and a high-quality volunteering offer across the Trust, including opportunities for all ages. Working with the Director of Action for Nature, you will also help to secure funds for future projects and explore new ways of working.

For full details of the role and its responsibilities, as well as details of the key experiences, skills and qualifications required, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification available on our website.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check. Travel will be required, so a driving licence is essential. We are planning on holding interviews on 2 June 2026.
