Community and Visitor Engagement Officer
Based at Far Ings National Nature Reserve, Barton upon Humber
3 days per week (pro rata circa £24,000 pa)
Do you have a passion for engaging visitors and communities about nature and the environment? This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving and welcoming visitor centre in one of the UK’s best spaces for nature.
We are looking for someone to work as part of the visitor and education centre team to provide an excellent experience to all visitors.
This is an incredibly varied post that would suit someone with an interest in visitor engagement, retail, working with volunteers and inspiring people with incredible wildlife experiences.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a visitor (or customer) and volunteering environment. A good working knowledge or enthusiasm for wildlife and environmental issues would be beneficial.
You should have an outgoing personality, be comfortable communicating with people of all ages and abilities, be computer literate and have some experience in basic administration.
The post will involve working with wide-ranging audiences and the successful candidate will be required to undertake a criminal record check.
