Fauna & Flora is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Senior Technical Specialist, REDD+, Guinea. You will play a leading role in the co-design, development and implementation of a pioneering REDD+ project in Ziama Biosphere Reserve, with potential to explore wider nature-based carbon opportunities in the region. This is a unique opportunity to build on a legacy of conservation partnership and impact in Ziama and to integrate REDD+ as a strategy to ensure multi-decadal support for climate, nature and people – at a transformative moment in Guinea’s engagement with carbon markets. You will work alongside the Landscape Manager and wider Guinea team, to deliver our strategic and technical engagement with the Government of Guinea and other local partners and ensure effective development of high integrity REDD+ in practice.

You will have strong and holistic technical skills relevant to REDD+. This will include direct experience working on the development and day-to-day management of programs/projects focused on high-quality, nature-based climate mitigation within the forestry and land use sector, including the development and implementation of a programme of REDD+ related work.
