Natural Enterprise is an Island based charity delivering a range of activities to support the Island’s rural economy and natural environment.

We have vacancies for a self-motivated person to join our small but dedicated team.

Catchment Sensitive Farming Advisor (CSF)

4.5 days a week.

Starting salary £27,000 to £33,000 pa

You must have a good understanding of CSF practices and agri-environmental schemes. Proven track record working with farmers and land managers, and strong communication and IT skills. Training program and support provided.

BACKROUND INFORMATION

Natural Enterprise carries out a variety of functions all related to the economic development and environmental enhancements on the Isle of Wight, focusing specifically on the natural environment and rural economy. It does this through a ‘multi-agency’ approach, working closely with partners such as the Isle of Wight Council, Environment Agency, Natural England, Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society, and other public and private bodies.

This role will be fully supported by Natural England and Southern Water and training and development, and project planning tools, advice campaigns and services will be available.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) operates through a network of Catchment Sensitive Farming Advisers and local partners across England.

CSF delivers Defra’s Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) ambitions for water quality, air quality (ammonia) and sustainable water management through nature-based solutions.

The role makes a significant contribution to nature recovery through helping farmers and land managers to take action.
