Carbon, Climate & EnergySustainability

The role

At Energy Saving Trust, we’re supporting people, businesses and communities to accelerate the transition to net zero. We’re now looking for a Loans & Grants Product Manager to lead the development of digital funding products that make low-carbon solutions more accessible across the UK.

This is an opportunity to shape the digital platforms behind our loans and grants services, improving how funding is accessed, managed and delivered for applicants, partners and colleagues.

As Loans & Grants Product Manager, you’ll lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of digital products across our portfolio of funding schemes. Working with Digital, Data, Finance, Operations and external partners, you’ll deliver secure, compliant and user-centred services.

You’ll own products end-to-end, from discovery through to optimisation, ensuring they are scalable, accessible and aligned with organisational goals. This role suits someone who can balance user needs, operational delivery and compliance within a regulated environment.

The team

You’ll join our Product and Design team. We are a collaborative, mission-driven group focused on creating digital services that help people and organisations access funding for energy efficiency and low-carbon solutions.

The team works at the heart of Energy Saving Trust’s digital transformation, partnering closely with colleagues across Digital, Data, Operations, Finance and programme delivery. Together, we design and improve the systems that power our loans and grants services, ensuring they are user-friendly, compliant, scalable and impactful.

This is a supportive and forward-thinking environment where ideas are encouraged, experimentation is welcomed and continuous improvement is part of how we work. You’ll collaborate with experienced product managers, designers, analysts and technical specialists who are passionate about delivering meaningful digital products that contribute to tackling the climate emergency.

As our loans and grants portfolio continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to shape new services, influence strategic technology decisions and play a key role in how funding programmes are delivered across the UK.

What you will do

  • Define and deliver product strategies and roadmaps for loans and grants platforms
  • Lead end-to-end digital product delivery across Agile and hybrid environments
  • Work closely with UX, Business Analysis and operational teams to improve user journeys and service design
  • Manage suppliers, stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement using data, feedback, insights and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure products remain secure, compliant, accessible and operationally effective
  • Support new scheme launches, funding programmes and future digital transformation initiatives

What you will bring

  • Extensive experience in digital Product Management across Agile and Waterfall delivery
  • Strong experience developing product visions, strategies and roadmaps
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and third-party technology suppliers
  • Excellent stakeholder management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to translate operational and business requirements into successful digital products
  • Experience working within regulated environments with strong governance and audit controls
  • Understanding of CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and workflow automation tools
