Looking to lead an established partnership coordinating nature based green infrastructure projects in an outstanding and diverse landscape?
We are looking for an experienced Development/Project Officer, with a strong track record of developing large, complex projects, and in-depth understanding of landscape issues and experience of fundraising and financial management. You must have strong relationship development and negotiation skills and a proven ability to complete tasks on budget and on time. You will hold a degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject are with previous experience of project management and the proven ability to work to project and financial deadlines. This project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. It is being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government.
The Purpose of this Role:-
The Collaboration Lead will be a coordinating role for the Gwent Green Grid Partnership. The post will be based in Monmouthshire County Council and managed by a collaboration of local authorities, working with Welsh Government and Natural Resources Wales, to develop and deliver a partnership that will oversee the delivery of; a series of programme outputs linked to the Nature Networks.
Expectation and Outcomes of this Role:-
The role will require an experienced development/project manager to coordinate and manage a large and complex programme of projects, working with a multi-disciplinary team across the five local authorities including NRW and a wide range of collaborators. You will need to demonstrate experience of working with partnerships to achieve shared outcomes and be responsible for leading the delivery group, reporting to the wider partnership and other cross sector regional groups where appropriate. Your role will require an in-depth understanding of green infrastructure, Resilient Ecological Networks (RENs) and health and well being principles working with existing partnerships (such as the South East Rivers Partnership, Wye Valley National Landscape, Local nature Partnerships, and the Living Levels Partnerships) to develop added value and long term legacy solutions beyond the life of the project.
You will be an experienced manager with responsibility for two GGGP staff within Monmouthshire for the duration of the programme and coordinate and report to Welsh Government the outputs from a further one GGG staff member based across the other Gwent local authorities.
The role will be responsible for ensuring budget setting and monitoring and reporting of all grant claims on behalf of the partnership. You must have strong relationship development and negotiation skills and a proven ability to complete tasks on budget and on time.
