Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) are seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic and effective Conservation and Engagement team.

Location: The Pitcairn Centre, Moidart Drive, Glenrothes, KY7 6ET
Salary: £26,786.83 to £29,170.80
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent

About the role

To carry out maintenance tasks on the Fife Coastal Path, Fife Pilgrim Way and other paths within the service remit and a range of maintenance work in the Lomond Hills Regional Park and other sites as instructed.

About you

We are looking for an adaptable and motivated individual to join our team. You will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • At least 12 months experience of working in a general garden maintenance role.
  • Experience in the use of gardening tools and small hand tools.
  • Literate and numerate.
  • Working knowledge of safe working practices.
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Able to work as part of a team and take instruction.
  • Willingness to use and act upon own initiative.
  • Adaptable and motivated team worker.
  • Enthusiasm for the role and flexibility to meet changing needs.
  • Able to carry out work of a repetitive nature.
  • A solid understanding of the Trust and knowledge of Fife’s countryside
  • Driving Licence
  • Flexible mindset.
