Communications Lead

We're looking for an experienced communications professional to join Manchester Climate Ready. This is your opportunity to lead communications activity for and through the MCR Partnership - a cross-sector network of over 100 Manchester-based organisations. In this role you'll develop and deliver communications strategies and build relationships with diverse stakeholders in order to tell Manchester's climate story. The work is varied, ranging from city-wide campaigns, to publishing formal reports, to community engagement activity - including communications for our In Our Nature programme.

Your impact in this role

If you're successful, you'll lead communications activity for Manchester Climate Ready, advising team members and supporting a wide range of partners and stakeholders to deliver impactful communications. You'll shape messaging, build communications strategies and spot opportunities to connect and amplify our work in a fast-moving environment. The breadth, pace and purpose of this role make it an exciting place to make your mark.

About you

You'll be an experienced communications professional with excellent writing skills and a track record of delivering impactful communications across multiple channels. You'll be confident managing projects, budgets and stakeholders, with an understanding of accessible communications, community engagement and climate action.
