Our role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Farm Environment Adviser to join our Dorset team - someone who can bring their own specialisms and experience. You will already have a broad range of skills and experience, perhaps gained through farming and/or in a nature conservation setting. You will need to be someone who is approachable, can build trust, has strong people skills and can influence farmers to work with us through providing the advice they need for a resilient farm business.
At FWAGSW, we work with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, giving environmental advice to farmers and partners on a variety of projects utilising funding from multiple sources. We are looking for someone who can apply a whole-farm approach; providing clear and helpful advice on the management of a range of environmental issues and opportunities, using your knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and helping to creating sustainable farm businesses.
As well as providing advice, you will contribute to the delivery and outputs of existing and developing projects. There will be opportunities for you to deliver and manage projects with a focus on nature-based solutions to flood risk and reducing sediment and nutrients in watercourses.
