About the Job

We’re looking for a passionate conservation professional to join our Conservation team as Assistant Manager and help us expand Buglife’s reach and impact across England.

Working alongside our current Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in expanding our work across the North, East and Midlands of England. You’ll line-manage members of the England team, support volunteers and build connections with local organisations, communities and stakeholders.

You’ll help develop and strengthen partnerships, contribute to project development and support the exploration of new fundraising opportunities. You’ll also represent Buglife externally, advocate for invertebrates and confidently communicate our mission and conservation priorities to a wide range of audiences.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering Buglife’s conservation priorities, to help grow our presence across England and develop new relationships and opportunities that support our conservation aims.

The Mission

Buglife is the only organisation in Europe dedicated to saving all invertebrates. From bees to beetles, jellyfish to jumping spiders – we’re working to prevent extinctions and protect the small creatures that keep ecosystems functioning.

We’ve been going since 2000, with staff across the UK, and we’re at an exciting point in our development with a new strategy to scale our impact. This role will help us deliver that ambition, supporting our conservation teams and strengthening our work to protect invertebrates and restore the habitats they depend on.
