About The Role
We are looking for a professional, experienced and knowledgeable animal registrar who will be responsible for maintaining accurate electronic records of our living collection and for supporting our living collection teams across WWT’s Zoos. Working alongside the living collection and animal health care teams, the successful candidate will bring a clear understanding of the legislation relating to zoo licencing, animal moves, CITES, ZIMs, DEFRA with an ability to ensure compliance across a national organisation. You will be expected to manage and prioritise your own varied workload to best support the business needs, this may include occasional travel to our centres.
This role is for 37.5 hours per week and will be based at WWT Slimbridge.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- be educated to A level or equivalent in a biological discipline or related field
- have experience in a similar position within a zoological institution with a thorough understanding of record-keeping practices and data management
- have strong IT skills especially Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
