A cornerstone of our initiatives includes the Biohub - Living Lab, an award-winning circular and regenerative project, which transforms traditional farmland into a regenerative ecosystem. This initiative empowers organisations to tackle sustainability challenges while engaging their workforce through educational workshops, fostering innovative environmental solutions within communities. Furthermore, the Living System Fund supports projects that restore natural ecosystems while generating meaningful social impact, prioritising ecological restoration and community well-being.

By promoting collaboration and impactful storytelling, the Living System Fund engages the public and raises awareness of the importance of ecological restoration, tracking the progress of funded projects to inspire broader participation and enhance community resilience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Head of Ecosystem Design to lead our landscape design initiatives. This role demands a Chartered Landscape Architect who will be instrumental in shaping innovative, high-quality, and sustainable landscape solutions that align with RegenFutureCo's mission. You will be responsible for driving the vision and execution of projects that enhance biodiversity and support community well-being across various environments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Vision Development: Establish and articulate the strategic vision for ecosystem design within the organisation, aligning project goals with the overarching mission of regeneration and sustainability.
• Project Oversight: Technical Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of ecosystem design projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Design Excellence

• Innovative Design Solutions: Create and develop holistic designs that integrate ecological principles, aesthetic considerations, and functional requirements.
• Visual Communication: Utilise strong hand-drawing skills or 3D visualisation capabilities to present and articulate design concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

• Design Tools Proficiency: Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting packages, with the ability to utilise Revit as part of the design process.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in ecosystem design, promoting best practices in sustainable design.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaboration and Partnership: Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to foster positive relationships and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Community Engagement: Involve local communities in the design process, incorporating their feedback and needs to create spaces that resonate with users and enhance community identity.

Team Development and Mentorship

• Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, cultivating their skills and supporting their professional development within a collaborative environment.
• Resource Management: Effectively manage team resources and workloads, ensuring a balanced approach to project delivery and personal development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A degree in Landscape Architecture and Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
• Experience: Proven experience in landscape architecture, with a strong portfolio of successful projects demonstrating design excellence and innovation.
• Design Skills: An attractive hand-drawing style with the ability to visualise designs in 3D, delivering compelling presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting packages, with a working ability or aptitude to utilise Revit.
• Results-Driven: A proactive approach with a positive attitude, resourcefulness, and a passion for landscape architecture and sustainability.
• Collaborative and Organised: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and achieve project deadlines, exhibiting a high degree of integrity and responsibility.
