Arnside & Silverdale Landscape Connections is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, a partnership of organisations is developing an exciting new long-term project to help ensure this wonderful landscape in the northwest of England is thriving, resilient & inclusive for generations to come.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new Conservation Grazing Hub centred at Bank House Farm, Silverdale. Working alongside National Trust colleagues, Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape partners, consultants, graziers and local land managers, you'll help coordinate activity that supports nature recovery and contributes to a sustainable long-term approach to conservation grazing. Through project co-ordination, stakeholder engagement and practical delivery, you'll help turn ambitious plans into practical action that benefits both people and nature.

As Grazing Hub Project Coordinator you will help shape the future of conservation grazing across the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape, supporting nature recovery in one of England's most important protected landscapes during the development phase of the Landscape Connections project.

Who we're looking for

Whilst you may come from a countryside, conservation, environmental or farming background, we welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. You'll support the project by:

  • Supporting the delivery of the conservation grazing feasibility study.
  • Helping to communicate the role conservation grazing plays in nature recovery and landscape management.
  • Co-ordinating infrastructure works, including fencing, gates, water supplies and livestock handling facilities.
  • Organising stakeholder meetings, workshops and consultation events.
  • Supporting habitat management and practical conservation improvements.
  • Supporting volunteer and community engagement opportunities.
  • Co-ordinating activities, milestones and delivery plans across the project.
  • Maintaining project records, monitoring systems and reporting information.
  • Having IT skills, including using digital systems to manage information, maintain records and support project delivery
  • The ability to work independently, respond to changing priorities and identify practical solutions to problems
  • Holding a full UK driving licence

If you’re excited by this opportunity and can demonstrate how you meet the criteria within your application, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a part time, fixed term contract until December 2028.
