We are one of the UK’s fastest growing environmental organisations and have recently secured funding to deliver a new peatland restoration programme and consequently seek to appoint 2 Peatland Restoration Officers.

The post holders will be responsible for surveying damaged peatlands, liaising with landowners and managers, developing tenders and coordinating and overseeing contracts within the Yorkshire Peat Partnership area.

As well as being passionate and enthusiastic about our mission to secure Living Landscapes and Living Seas, you will have practical experience of GIS software including MapInfo as well as experience of land management for nature conservation, experience of ecological field survey work and a good understanding of peatland ecology and management. You will have excellent communication skills with a keen interest in the work of the Yorkshire Peat Partnership and a willingness to work outside normal office hours including some stays away from home during the survey season.
